Alison first joined the practice as a student in 1999 and worked on the design stages of Cass Business School and the City Place Gatwick offices. After completing her studies, she worked in a small architectural practice before returning to Bennetts Associates in 2004 and was made an associate in 2011. Alison was a key member of the delivery team for the New Street Square development and used this experience to lead the envelope design on the Oxford Humanities Faculty Buildings and act as site architect for the City Road residential scheme. She has extensive experience of the London office sector, having been part of the project teams for 5 Pancras Square at King’s Cross and the redevelopment of the London Fruit and Wool Exchange site. She was project architect for the recently completed new-build office development for Derwent London on Chancery Lane, which was pre-let to a major media agency. Alison has a keen interest in detailing, particularly cladding and concrete, and is a leading member of the practice’s Technical Group.
Alison has run over ten half marathons and regularly participates in urban orienteering events. She likes to combine her passion for travel with scuba diving, windsurfing and sailing.
