Jonathan is a widely experienced senior Architect who brings a wealth of knowledge of large, complex developments as well as smaller scale projects. He re-joined Bennetts Associates in 2016 having previously worked for the practice from 2006-2011 with a major role in the award-winning redevelopment of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre. With particular specialism in the residential sector and working with existing buildings, Jonathan’s recent projects include leading the strategic planning of Manchester Airport HS2 station and masterplan, a feasibility study for the redevelopment of Manchester Oxford Road station and the Ugly Brown Building development in Camden. Part of the practice’s Sustainability Group, he has a passion for unique one-off projects and building through a collaborative process, and has an in-depth experience of co-ordination and delivery.
Prior to returning to the practice, he was Project Architect for the £450m Battersea Power Station Phase One, where he led the superstructure team, shell and core design, and fit-out from planning through to partial completion.
Outside the practice, Jonathan is interested in photography and a keen follower of but less successful participator in sport.
