Since joining Bennetts Associates in 2005 to become an integral member of the team transforming the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon, Paul’s knowledge of building conservation has seen him work on many notable listed buildings. He currently acts as the Project Architect on a number of schemes including the refurbishment of a Grade I-listed mixed-use property, a Grade II-listed commercial re-development for Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, while progressing the redevelopment of the prestigious Shaftesbury Theatre in London. A complex, multi-phase development, the Grade II-listed Shaftesbury Theatre has been a constant undertaking over the past nine years since the addition of a dramatic weathering steel-clad flytower.
Paul became an Associate in 2015, and is the BIM Manager of Bennetts Associates, responsible for leading the development and implementation of the practice’s digital production standards. Paul also acts as a regular Part III mentor and an external Tutor in Construction at London Metropolitan University. Outside of work, Paul is a Director of the North Essex Heritage Building Preservation Trust, a keen cyclist, runner, and supporter of Bath Rugby.
