Phil first joined Bennetts Associates in 2007 and re-joined after completing his studies in 2010 to work on the Gateway Buildings for St Antony’s College, Oxford. His main responsibility at St Antony’s College was the detailed design of the stone and bronze facades and as construction developed he became involved in all aspects of the scheme including stair, joinery and landscape design. Phil subsequently worked on the Midland Goods Shed project in King’s Cross where he led the work on the refurbishment and rejuvenation of the historic shell, as well as the structural and services co-ordination. More recently he has been centrally involved in the Gaydon Triangle, a major new research and development facility for Jaguar Land Rover, working initial concepts up to a detailed design.
Phil is interested in how buildings relate to their historic, social and environmental context, themes he has been able to explore through his projects at Bennetts Associates.
