Sophia joined the practice after completing her Part I at Queen’s University Belfast with First Class Honours. Her final project, A Continuing Tradition, focused around the design of a nursery within the historically sensitive curtilage of Armagh’s Cathedral. This received special mention in the AJ review of students’ projects and nominations for both the RSUA and RIBA Bronze Medal Awards. Through this project, Sophia developed her interest in designing within historically sensitive contexts. Since joining the practice in 2019, she has worked exclusively on the redevelopment of the King’s Theatre in Edinburgh and is enjoying developing this interest at a more detailed level.
Outside of architecture, Sophia plays rugby, sings a bit of Opera and also enjoys gardening.
