We are delighted that Shaftesbury Theatre and Midland Goods Shed have been shortlisted for the 2018 RIBA London Awards and Storyhouse has made the 2018 RIBA North West Awards shortlist. All three buildings have made it through the first round to be considered for RIBA Regional Awards. Shortlisted buildings will now be assessed by regional juries with the winning buildings announced at awards ceremonies on Tuesday 15 May in London and on Wednesday 16 May in Liverpool. If successful, the Regional Award winners will be considered for a highly-coveted RIBA National Award, which will be announced in June. Fingers crossed!
2012 – 2016
A dramatic new flytower has appeared on the skyline of London’s West End. The project entailed building a 35-tonne capacity flytower plus offices and plant on top of an existing theatre that had to remain operational at all times.
Upon completion in 2016, the redevelopment of Midland Goods Shed will create an innovative new focal point for King’s Cross Central, within the heritage core of one of London’s most dramatically changing neighbourhoods.
