Rab and Denise Bennetts will give a talk at the British School at Rome, at 6.30pm on Thursday 5 July 2018.
Their talk will examine two recent RIBA Award-winning projects with surprising links to Rome: a City of London office building (40 Chancery Lane, 2017) and a library/theatre in Chester (Storyhouse, Chester, 2018), that focus on the integration of space, structure and materiality. The lecture will be introduced by Lucia Nucci, Professor of Urbanism at Rome 3 University.
The Bennetts will also touch on a selection of award-winning past projects and will present their highly collaborative working method, in particular with artists. Finally, they will discuss the unique way in which a younger generation of architects within Bennetts Associates is empowered to lead the design process.
More details and a press release can be found at the adjacent link.
