Is there a future for the executive architect?

Architects often say they want to stick with projects from conception to completion, which means following it through the construction process. However, executive architects are becoming more and more recognised for the hard work they do. In the meantime, the draft New London Plan recommends that architects stay on a project and the Hackitt Review is looking for ways to better to apportion responsibility. What does this mean for the future of a key section of the profession?

    Chair: Thomas Lane, editor, BD
