The Royal College of Pathologists and 11-21 Canal Reach have been shortlisted for the New London Awards 2019. This award recognises projects that make London a better place to live and work.
Shortlisted in the 'Education' category, Royal College of Pathologists' new headquarters provides flexible educational, workplace, and social spaces for visiting members which addresses the college’s mission to advance the science and practice of pathology and to better serve its membership.
11-21 Canal Reach is shortlisted in the 'Unbuilt: Workplaces' category. The substantial office development has detailed planning permission and is on target to achieve a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating with the additional ambition of reducing its embodied carbon emissions to the lowest for this type of building in the UK. The offices, which are located in the ‘Western Yards’ of the King’s Cross masterplan, will be taken by Facebook upon completion.
The winners will be announced on Wednesday 3 July at the Guildhall, London.
