Her Majesty the Queen, accompanied by The Duchess of Sussex, formally opens Storyhouse

It was a big day at Storyhouse on 14 June as the Queen, accompanied by the Duchess of Sussex, visited the building for its formal opening.

The programme for the visit was superbly choreographed by Storyhouse to use the whole building and to showcase the work that they do with young people and community groups, as well as the professional theatre company.

The highlight was assembling a choir of 300 local schoolchildren on the red stairs and in the main foyer space whilst the Queen and the Duchess of Sussex looked on. Just the kind of impromptu theatre that the space was designed for.
