Jonathan’s experience ranges from commercial and masterplanning developments to significant cultural and historic projects. He has most recently been leading the design and delivery of the Ink Building, a hybrid CLT commercial building and part of the innovative Timber Square net-zero carbon development in Southwark, as well as a large scale masterplan in the City of London.
He completed the front of house transformation of the Grade II*-listed Old Vic Theatre in 2019 and has led major elements of significant Bennetts Associates schemes from the mixed-use Tribeca in Camden to HS2 and the Stirling Prize-nominated Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
He first joined Bennetts Associates in 2006 and with over 15 years’ experience in the industry has developed and expertise in adaptive reuse and designing and delivering sustainable and efficient schemes through a collaborative process. Jonathan has written and spoken on the subject of retrofit and net-zero carbon, is a Trustee Director of the Employee Ownership Trust and was part of the team involved in the creation of a Design Guide for the Get It Right Initiative (GIRI).
