Gus joined the practice in 2023 after graduating from the University of Edinburgh and has since worked on a range of projects across sectors, notably the retrofit of 200 Grays Inn Road and the design of commercial office building, Kett House, in Cambridge.
Gus’s background in engineering has fostered a strong belief in holistic design and collaboration between disciplines within construction. He has a keen interest in material reuse and sustainability, particularly in the scalability of circularity in construction. His master’s thesis investigated themes of adaptive reuse, community-building and biodiversity, and was nominated for the Architects Journal Student Prize. Away from project work, Gus runs the practice’s CPD programme and plays an active role in multiple internal groups within the practice.
