Milena is a recent graduate from the University of Sheffield postgraduate programme which has a focus on collaboration and combines architectural practice with academic study. She worked full-time as a Part II Architectural Assistant, balancing professional responsibilities with research, design work and university deadlines. The experience strengthened her organisation, time management and independent working skills.
During her studies Milena focused on topics such as urban regeneration, civic architecture and public access to land. Her final thesis project ‘Scottish Land Custodianship Forum’ was nominated for RIBA Yorkshire Student Award. Her research paper explored the relationship between urban design and protest behaviours, receiving a nomination for RIBA Dissertation Award.
Milena has experience working across RIBA Stages 1–6 on refurbishments of cultural and community projects, including experience with listed buildings.
