Norton HQ

The new headquarters for Norton Motorcycles in Solihull combines manufacturing, design, research and development under one roof. Retrofitted within an existing industrial building, it was completed in less than twelve months during the 2020 pandemic — a clear demonstration of what can be achieved through adaptive reuse and design discipline.

The facility includes workshops, testing areas, offices and a customer reception space that embodies the company’s ethos of precision and craftsmanship. A mezzanine events area overlooks the manufacturing hall, allowing visitors to experience the assembly process directly.

Circular economy principles guided every stage of the project. Reused structural components and modular systems were employed wherever possible, including repurposed trusswork from the entertainment industry forming the main service gantries. Approximately half of the building’s construction cost is tied to elements designed to be reconfigurable and reusable in the future.

The result is a modern industrial workspace — agile, efficient and distinctly Norton — built on the principle of simple things done beautifully.
