Syggrou Office

The Syggrou Office Complex, designed with Divercity Architects for developer Dimand, occupies a prominent site linking central Athens to the coast. The two eight-storey buildings form part of a wider commercial and cultural ensemble with the Onassis Stegi arts centre and the Hellenic General Insurance headquarters.

Each building is wrapped in vertical marble fins that filter sunlight, capture the distinctive Athenian light and frame views of the Acropolis and surrounding mountains. The façade design responds directly to orientation: solid elevations to the south and west reduce heat gain, while the north- and east-facing façades maintain a 60:40 solid-to-glazed ratio with integrated louvres for daylight control.
