Client
Over the last twenty years the former railway lands have been transformed into a new city quarter. The four projects featured represent the diversity of uses which make up the development. From tech company Meta’s offices to a timber-framed sports centre, an HQ for Camden Council, to a retail-led mixed-use scheme created from a historic goods shed. Each building contributes through its materiality, approach to sustainability and integration with the extensive public realm.
Further work in the King’s Cross area includes the Tribeca London masterplan which contains the Apex laboratory building and the St Pancras Hospital Site masterplan.
Meta HQ
- Defining the northern edge of the masterplan, the London Meta HQ at 11–21 Canal Reach is the largest office development in King’s Cross.
King's Cross Sports Hall
- Pioneering mass-timber-framed public sports hall and gym. King’s Cross Sports Hall is designed for multiple lives — from skills training to community sport.
5 Pancras Square
- Located in the first phase of the development, 5 Pancras Square is Camden Council’s HQ and includes a public leisure centre, library and council offices.
Midland Goods Shed
The conversion of a listed Victorian building in the heart of the masterplan, Midland Goods Shed now houses the Canopy Market, Waitrose supermarket and offices.
